Standing sixteen stories above the heart of downtown, the Abraham Lincoln Hotel is one of Reading's grandest and most prominent buildings. The "Abe Lincoln" was constructed during the city's early 20th century expansion, and reflects a fascination with motifs and massing characteristic of Art Deco architecture.

Now known as the Lincoln Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, the building combines affordable housing with modern hotel rooms, conference accommodations and public dining facilities. The recently-completed rehabilitation preserves the historic character of this distinctive landmark.

Noble Preservation consulted on design issues relating to the preservation of historic features and materials for this phased Certified Rehabilitation, which was awarded Preservation Pennsylvania's 1999 Commercial/Industrial Construction Award.
